We liked the way it looked in our back yard even without the cover and enjoyed it last year as it was. However, when I saw this canopy, I had to have it. Shade in the summer is not overrated! This canopy is well made. The stitching is straight and strong. The material is a weave that will shade but will not hold water and sag. It was easy to put up and the weighted metal rods for each side hold it in place well. Love he color and it gives our family greater enjoyment of our outside space.

We wanted something that would block the light, but not get saggy when rained on. Since this has meshy holes it won't hold the rain and we don't expect it to get saggy either. We are waiting to for the snow to stop and then we plan to put it up over our deck using our existing sun sail supports. It wasn't exactly designed for this purpose, but it looks like it should work. The sizing is a little bit off, mine wasn't bad, just a few inches. The grommets are nice, and provides some added strength to it. So far mine has held up to the elements, It was easy to put up and secure, and it looks good, all while providing needed shade. It is a shade canopy, not a rain canopy, so if it starts raining, the water will come through it, which it should anyways, otherwise you will have problems. Overall, decent canopy.
