★★★★★★★★★★ Good QualityWe are going to use this on the west side of our gazebo to block the evening sun. I held it up to a sunny window and it did a good job of blocking the light (see photo). It seems to be well constructed of the usual sun shade fabric. Something a foot shorter in length and width would have been ideal, but it looks like they have much lower prices on certain standard sizes that they keep in stock. 8' x 12' is one of their standard sizes and was significantly less expensive than a custom 7' x 11', so we went with that. It's been too windy to install it, but I will update if we have any issues.

★★★★★★★★★★ Had to glue one of the finials back on. Lightweight poles. When we were installing this shade over our pergola, we discovered that one of the finials was not attached to one end of the rods. There was glue residue remaining on both ends so I had to make sure they aligned when I used superglue to reattach them. The pole segments had to be screwed together and inserted into the ends of the shade cloth and already placed over the pergola before we could do the repair. I wrapped foam around the end of the pole being repaired to prevent the finial from detaching when the wind caused the pole to bang against the post it was later secured to after the glue had finally set 48 hours later.Wish all the parts came intact to avoid the hassle and inconvenience. There was no way we could leave the top unsecured to the posts of the pergola because we experienced a strong gust of wind and it blew the entire thing entirely off the structure. The weight of the poles alone are not heavy enough to hold the shade cloth in place. The poles need to be properly secured around the posts holding up the pergola or it poses a real danger when it’s blown away by a strong wind.
