How to take measurements?
1. Measure the distance from one post to the next.
2. Based on those measurements, subtract 1-1.5 feet, For example, for a 13' x 13' x 13' measurement, we suggest purchasing 12' x 12' x 12' Sunshade Sails due to our special curved design that stretches in length.
Notice:
If water is allowed to pool in the center of the sail, it will slowly drip through, Some water may also leak through the stitching on the seams, but if the sail is installed at a 30-45 degree angle with enough tension, most rain water will run off, Please refer to the installation illustration.

★★★★★★★★★★ Pitch it pitch it pitch itMaterial is sturdy and waterproof. You do have to pitch it when hanging or you will have a good size bathtub that will develop do to even a light rain. I fastened mine to an upper 2x8 on a 2nd floor balcony with ring brackets that take 4 small screws each. I pre drilled a hole to take a plastic sleeve through which the screw is screwed. When I first put it up my sail was not pitched enough and the weight of the water that accumulated pulled out one of my brackets. Surprised but it must have been carrying a good 10 pounds Soto the weight of the water. I saw this as a good thing for its better to pull out one end of my shade sale then an important structure of my home! Pitch your sail and you will have no problem. Throw some water on the top of it after it’s hung and you will know right away if you pitched it enough.1 person found this helpful
