I was told specifically not to cover all four sides and to just cover the top because otherwise moisture could build up and there might be mold accumulation. I chose this as an easier to store alternative to a piece of plywood and a brick on top. It arrives looking very thin and compact (as it is well-folded), but it is sturdy and waterproof. It's easy to secure using the included hooks and cord. I'd recommend not stretching it any tighter than necessary though as I think the long-term stress over months might weaken the connection where the cord and cover meet. It doesn't need to be super tight anyway as the main point is to stop leaves and debris from falling into the air conditioning unit over seasons when it's not in use. I found this to be good value as well as it was more economical than other alternatives.
